Medical Speech-Language Pathologist

Rachel is a medical speech-language pathologist who provides gender-affirming voice therapy and treats adults who have had a traumatic brain injury (TBI). She has years of experience aligning goals with clients and caregivers, and implementing evidence-based practice. Rachel continues to stay curious, attending conferences and pursuing independent research, to best serve the LGBTQIA+ community and TBI population.

Special training includes:

• Acoustic Assumptions to target vocal resonance for voice feminization/masculinization

• SPEAK OUT!® for people with Parkinson’s disease or dysarthria

• Modified Barium Swallow Study Profile to analyze disordered swallowing

• Passy Muir Valve Assessment/ Management for people with tracheostomies

• Augmentative & Alternative Communication to increase communicative outlets for people with aphasia

In her free time, Rachel likes to be outside whether that’s to walk her dog, bike around the city, or go on a hike. She loves to travel, especially around Latin America where she can challenge her Spanish speaking skills.
