Theodore Jones, M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD
Theodore is ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certified and New York State licensed, and holds a certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science and Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of California, San Diego, and his Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Theodore provides individual and group therapy across private practice, middle school, and high school settings, targeting receptive and expressive language, speech sound production, literacy, and social communication. He also conducts developmental language evaluations for preschool-aged children.
His adult experience includes work in skilled nursing and long-term care, as well as teletherapy with adults presenting with dysphonia, aphasia, dysarthria, and dysphagia. He has facilitated support groups for individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurogenic voice disorders using the LSVT LOUD® protocol.
Theodore is passionate about delivering individualized, evidence-based care that responds to each client’s communication goals, personal experiences, and cultural-linguistic background.
